Cookies and storage

The short version

SewSlay sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking, and nothing is shared with anyone else.

Our cookies

On the live site your browser may show these with __Secure- in front of the name. That means the cookie only ever travels over an encrypted connection.

Stored on your device

The projector screen remembers a few settings in your browser: which screen is your projector, how thick to draw the lines, whether a bought pattern's page labels and frames are hidden, whether its map of corners stays open, and where you last placed each pattern on the mat. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

When you pay

Plans are paid, changed and cancelled on Stripe's own pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there, to take the payment safely and prevent fraud. They are covered by Stripe's cookie policy, not this one.

Why there is no cookie banner

The law asks for your consent before a site sets cookies it doesn't need. Both of ours are needed to sign you in, so there is nothing to ask about. If we ever add a cookie that isn't needed, we will ask you first.
